The Start

I'm extremely exhausted today because I woke up and actually RUN. Can you believe it? I couldn't believe it myself but I woke up with Lady Gaga's Poker Face (my alarm tone) blaring in my ears. I looked at the time and thought... "do I really want to do this?" And I started thinking what my brother would say to me, he would say "I told you so... that you wouldn't wake up!" I was annoyed just thinking about it so I got up at 6:10 and got ready. I started walking at around 6:15 and ran for only 5 minutes. I couldn't follow the Couch to 5 Mile since my zune kept falling off. I need to buy those strap so that I can run with my zune, I really, really need one.

I'm looking forward for my run again tomorrow. I feel energetic and alert since I ran, so I'm definitely going to do that again. If you're thinking about it, if you should do it or not, you should definitely go for it. I really believe that 5 minutes out of your 24 hours counts! It might not make a lot of of difference but, hey it's better than sitting in the couch, watching TV. Gaahhh..

Getting Healthy

(I took this photo while I was on my way home from work... the photo depicts how I feel about working!!)

Many people have asked me what I do to stay so fit.....And my eyes purposely roll since I really don't know how to respond to that kind of question. I always ask my self, "are they asking me a hypothetical question?" I don't like my boastful respond, the "I don't exercise" respond. It's true though, I eat about four times a day, never count my calories, drink sodas, and I never exercise. I am simply bless with my mom's metabolism.

Nevertheless, I still don't like how my body feels. I don't like feeling unhealthy and losing my breath so easily. I hate how I get headaches when I start running, as if my body is rejecting the oxygen that I'm getting while running. It's as if my body demands it and wants it, but the over loading just doesn't work, so I end up getting a headache and giving up. But, I have learned the technique for it and I'm going to follow the technique.

I decided that starting Monday, I will start following this guys podcast. My friend, A, had told me about this guy who tells you when to run and when to start walking, which is what I have been looking for. I'm starting my first walk on Monday, I'm going to wake up at 6am..run for 30 minutes! I hope it works.... I'm really hoping that I would be able to keep up with it because someday I want to work as a nurse in the ER and I want to at least be healthier than my patient so I can keep up.

I'm using this blog as an inspiration to show off what I will be able to do with my life, as I start running...running to be healthy.

Thanks for reading and just in case you're interested  in doing this run with me, here's the link to get the podcast: Couch to 5k

Company Picnic

I went to my first company picnic today. The weather was great but then it got so windy, and so I had to hold on to my hotdogs and potato chips in order to keep it down in my plate. It was great to see everyone!! I also held this fat boy, he was so darn cute... haha! Of yourse, you know me and my obsession with fat kids...

I invited my friend, Chas, to go to the picnic. I'm glad she was able to make it.

The day ended great.. I'm glad that I have an 8.0 mega pixels camera, it's able to capture scenery, just like this one.

"Hello"

I'd like to say that I am very happy today and I'm sure many of my friends will be also.

Ty and Cee -- Tim messaged me today and said "Hello".... He had to sleep so I wasn't able to talk to him and ask why he was missing for so long, but I'm glad that he is doing good.

We can all relax and breathe a little better knowing that our friend in TX is doing better.

Mobile blog

Im texting from my blog...So im hoping that this would work.

I had a bad day, we found out today that our training would be extended to four weeks.

Happy Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day, even though I'm one of the billions of people who trashes the world. I would have to say that although there are so many "annoying" people who talk about recycling and saving energy way too much. I have to say that I do appreciate that there are people like them.

Have you guys seen Wall-E? Gosh! Even though I only watched about 10 minutes of the movie it makes you want to recycle since there are just so many trashes in that universe that Wall-E happends to lived in.. I mean imagine if the earth is over filled with trashes? What would happen to the future generation? There's definitely need to be a better way of educating (including myself) of how to save the world, because we might not live in the same country but we do live in one world. So even if the US and other first country pushes the "recycling and saving energy" there will never be a way to completely change the world, but then again doing something is better than not doing anything at all.

One thing that I would have to say is that "first world country" NEEDS to stop dumping their crap (ie. old computers, tv, and many other electronics) in third world countries. Enough said.

Flagstaff Trip

I found out that my friend, Tara, will graduating in December with her BS Nursing. I'm so proud of her! I know that she has worked very hard and she deserves every blessing that has come in her way. So, I told her that I would be seeing her graduate in December which of course made her super excited since we haven't seen each other ever since freshman year. I was looking through tickets and I'm so amazed that the tickets to go to Flagstaff from Phoenix is costing somewhere between $150-$400. That's a bit crazy since the place is so close... It's crazy how big airlines are selling the tickets for $300+++... crazy!! I went to cheapoair.com and I found this:

It's the cheapest one I found... I don't know when I'm suppose to reserve my ticket since I know for a fact that they go cheaper around sometimes... ehh.. does anyone know when? Please comment below.

Facebook-LESS

I have finally decided to deactivate my facebook account. Since facebook does not delete any of the information that I have put into the account I can reactivate the account once again whenever I want.  According to their terms of service my information will be saved in their system. Please don't quote me on that because I'm kind of lazy to read their terms of service.

I created facebook in 2006 when it was only for college students (which I like by the way) since you had to use an college email address (.edu) in order to activate an account. I had it for a whole year and then I decided to delete the account around 2007.... but when I activated it again a year later the information that I had before were still in the system such as my password, profile information, school, pictures, and of course my list of friends. I was happy that I didn't have to find old friends from high school to see what they were up too, however, I didn't like the fact that the information that I deleted were saved in their systems.

The benefit of having your account "deactivated" is that no one else is able to find your profile. So if a friend has added you on facebook and is looking for your profile, they will probably think  you have deleted them since you are no longer in their network, but if they're smart enough they'll know that you have deleted your account since you CANNOT be found.

I hope that my "friends" wouldn't think that I have deleted my account instead of them thinking I deleted them, which is not a good feeling. Right?

OH, YEAH.... FYI:
I have decided to stay with myspace because it's a great way for me to stay with my friends, but especially with my family. It's a great way for me to be able to show pictures, so I'm not deleting myspace just yet,  there will come a time when I would though........ :)

Free Programs Must Have

If you are familiar with my old blog then you're probably aware that I have posted this on my last blog at wordpress. I have decided to leave wordpress because I hate the fact that I'm subjective to choose from about 50 (unatractive) themes, so I decided to move back to blogspot. Of course, there's a way to bypass that by actually signing up yearly. However, why would I pay for something that I can get elsewhere for free? I guess that's the whole point of this post. I know a lot of people enjoyed this list and I didn't want it do disapprear of the internet just because I was selfish (or stingy) to delete the post. I've recently discovered more so I will definitely add more later.

  • Google Chrome -- >> click here to download
    Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

Very fast, reliable and it proved itself to be faster than IE and Safari, at least for me.

  • Google Picasa --> click here to download
    Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

One word, Picasa. If you don't know what that means, you live in a pretty secluded world. Lol

  • Switcher for Windows Vista --> click here to download
    Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

I had to find an alternative program to view all my open windows . I don't like the one that Vista has installed. You have to press CTRL-ALT or whatever it is and I HATE THAT! With Switcher all I have to press is F3 (you can change it to whatever you want on the PREFERENCE). Downside? This program is only for Vista.

However, there is a program for Window Xp, it's called WinExpose you can download the program here.

  • Object Dock --> click here to download
    Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

I chose to use this program instead of the others ones because this one has the "Stack docklet" on the menu (so no need to download the stack itself) and it's very easy to use. Try the program for yourself, you won't regret. It's very stylish, easy to use, and it allows you to work faster on your desktop.

  • Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

You guess it, it's the digital polaroid. Definitely a must have!!!

  • $10 Happiness

I was driving with my sister and then "nature called" so I asked her to stop somewhere were I could take care of my business. Payless was the closest one but she said that they only have employees bathroom so I was reluctant to ask the sales lady. But due to my emergency circumstances, I asked if I can use the bathroom and she gladly told me where it was.

Then I went to size 7 aisle and saw that shoes right above. Since I work in a professional environment I need a shoe that I can use with my slacks as well as my dresses. I know it's a replica of Oxford Heels but right now I can't afford the real thing so I'm gonna settle with this ones. I love the feelings, comfort, and the fact that I can run with it, it's a great shoe to wear at the mall. I was happy that the shoe was on sale, the original price was $27.99 and it was on sale for $10. I was glad that it was on sale since I felt guilty, I mean... I just baught a $350 phone! Right? Shouldn't I feel guilty? I know, and I am but for $10 I think I'll be fine.

    My love

Guess what? I just ordered my Samsung Memoir so eight days from now I will have the love of my life.  Lol. I've been a bit frustrated with my phone and I needed something that was easy to used to text. I didn't want the Blackberry phone (ie. curve) because I was required to have a data plan, and if you know me I really hate using the internet on the phone (duh! That's what my laptop is for!!), so I ordered something that was practical for me and would use all the time. I love the phone that I had baught from T-Mobile two years ago which was the MDA, unfortunately, it's no longer working. Sigh. I love that phone so much because I wasn't require to have the data plan, and it has the QWERTY keyboard, which I love so much for texting. Aftet the MDA broke, three other phones that were laying in the house but they were all phones that uses T9 for texting. I hated texting and when people text me, it usually was just a "HI" text since I hated texting using that phone. I'm sure that people who text me all the time would appreciate my phone also since I will be able to respond and actually have a conversation. Haha

I ordered the Samsung Memoir, it's a bit pricey (Yikes!) since it cost me $350 with tax. The phone is worthed  though because it has a smackin' 8.0 mega  pixels camera. LOL

    Kiki and A Class

I woke up early this morning I tried to sleep but the Arizona sun and my family's loud voice doesn't help a lot when you're trying to get some sleep. The first thing that I heard was my mom shouting for my brother-in-law because apparently Kiki (My sister's four-legged animal, aka Husky dog) was able to get out of the house. There were a lot of commotions and instead of me helping them, I listened in my bed while my mom shouted for the dog. It was a very amusing morning. Before you call me "mean" for not helping them, I must defend myself first. Kiki is an 8-month Husky, her last home had a foreclosure so they needed to give the dog away. When you look at her you'll know that life (as far as the feeding goes) has been rough on her because she is really skinny. The first time I saw her I felt so sympathetic for her, she looks like she hasn't eaten for the last few months. I'd rather have dogs and cats obese than be a skeleton. With that being said, I knew that Kiki wouldn't get so far because she is such a sweet dog. I heard my brother-in-law calling her and as soon as she heard his voice she came running back.

The other reason why I decided to wake up early was that I had to find a driving defensive class. I've been looking online and the cheapest one is $165. I decided to settle and fortunately, there is a class open tomorrow. I feel a sense of relief since the court order is due next week.  I know, can you say "procrastinate"? I was assign with that order last month and I'm just doing it right now; I certainly am a big procrastinator.

    Fruit Porn

I was craving for these fruits today, and I wanted you to do the same. Fruir porn!! =D Can you guess which ones are lanzones, papayas, rambutan, santol, guyubano, and jackfruits? I love them all, I recently ate some papayas and rambutan, so I'm craving for the rest. I miss santol (the last image) since they can't be baught in the US because of the Agriculture law or something like that. I think that's one thing I miss the most since everything else can be baught in the US if you look hard enough for it.

I think if the US had more tasteful fruits that the obesity wouldn't be so high. However, there is still that easy access to fast food so maybe it wouldn't be such a big factor. I will have to rest my case but I still wish that the US had better fruits other than the typical apple and bananas, it does get old sometimes, don't you think?

    Bare Foot

I've always been envious of people's feet, especially when I realized how nice it was to wear heels once in a while. But I had so many callus (this is so embrassing) since I always wear flip flops, since I do live in Phoenix. However, I started using foot scrub and now there as beautiful as ever (so I think). I appreciate my feet now and I no longer long for anyone else's. I'm glad my sister gave me a set of foot wash, talc, mist, lotion, scrub for Christmas. I had it stucked in my room for quite a while, however at that time I was always at home I figured scrubbing them once in a while was a good idea.

From now on, Im going to make them so beautiful because they're the ones that would someday walk me to my dreams.

What about you? Have you thought about how important your feet are?  I suggest buying a Peppermint Ice lotion it smells so good.

    A Lost Friend

While my friend was happily vacationing in Florida two summer ago, he send me a mms of Salt Island. He said this is where I belong, hence he knows how much I love salt! I've always love salt, my mom said that while she was going through pregnancy with me she would put crystal salt on a bowl and eat it as if it was rice. So it my be the reason why I love it so much, but there's also the fact that Filipinos just tend to eat too much Adobo, and  that just might be the reason why we love salty food so much. I know one thing, sweets can go bye-bye (except that I would need it for ATP) and I would be find with it whereas salt I would fight for it.
I wrote this blog because I was looking at my files and simply remember my friend, Tim, who sent this to me. We haven't spoken to him for about three months now and we (Ty, Cee, and I) are a bit worried about him. He use to send me "hello" text messages every now and then but for the last few months we haven't received anything from him. We hope that everything is going well with him and that he is just too busy (I'd rather have that excuse) to contact his friends. I miss you Tim! =D

    Admirable Sky

When I took this picture it was the day after the car accident happened. My brother was driving me east of Arizona to check the damage on my car. The sky looks joyous and very relaxing, however, I sense a bit of sadness in this picture, which is why I like it so much. It shows my complete emotion, I was blessed that no one was hurt in the crashed, and yet a bit sad that something unfortunate like that had to happened. My car was the place where I vented, cried, shouted, and laughed, but most importantly it was the place where, for the first time in my life I was free.

But the sense of "freedom" can always come back to me, right now I should be smiling because the sky is blue, trees are green, the sun is up, and the fact that no matter how many mistakes I make He always seems to forgive me. Thank you ;)
